Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
SpectrumBurst is a Match-3 puzzle game. We collect the minimum needed to save your progress, run leaderboards and live events, and improve the game. We do not sell your personal data.
Information we collect
- Account / identity. Until you sign in with Google or Apple, you play as an anonymous guest identified by a random ID generated on your device. If you sign in, we receive a provider account identifier and display name. We do not receive your password.
- Gameplay & progress. Levels completed, stars, scores, currency (coins/gems), boosters, lives, daily streaks, and replays (a seed plus your move list) used for leaderboards and "ghost race" challenges.
- Analytics. Anonymous gameplay events (e.g. level start/win/lose, daily opens) and a session identifier, used to understand and improve the game.
- Diagnostics. Crash and error reports to keep the game stable.
- Device data. Basic technical data (platform, app version) needed to run the app.
We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, photos, or sensitive personal information.
How we use information
- Save and sync your progress across sessions and devices.
- Operate leaderboards, daily puzzles, ghost races, and live events.
- Measure retention and balance difficulty and economy via aggregate analytics.
- Diagnose crashes and improve performance and stability.
Sharing
- Leaderboards display your chosen display name and score to other players.
- We use service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, push/notification, analytics, crash reporting) that process data on our behalf under their own terms.
- We may disclose data if required by law.
Advertising
SpectrumBurst shows ads served by Google AdMob (banners, interstitials, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for in-game rewards). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect data such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android), IP address (used to infer approximate location), and ad interaction data. Depending on your choices, this data may be used to show personalized ads and may constitute "tracking" across apps as defined by Apple.
- Your consent. In the EEA/UK we ask for consent through Google's consent flow before personalized ads are shown. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt lets you allow or deny tracking — if you deny, ads still appear but are not personalized using your device identifier.
- Your controls. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in device settings at any time (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
- Google's use of advertising data is described in Google's advertising technologies policy.
Notifications
With your permission, we send local reminders (e.g. daily puzzle, refilled lives). You can disable these in your device settings at any time.
Children
SpectrumBurst is intended for players aged 8 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law (e.g. COPPA/GDPR-K). Guest play minimizes data collection for younger players.
Your choices & rights
- Play as a guest without signing in.
- Toggle sound, haptics, and reduced motion in-game; manage notifications in device settings.
- Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may request access to or deletion of your data. You can delete your account and data at any time, or contact us at the address below.
Data retention
We retain progress and leaderboard data while your account or guest profile is active. Aggregate analytics may be retained for product improvement.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, token-based authentication). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be surfaced in-app or via the store listing.
